Workshop:  

Your Provider Will See You Now: Actionable Strategies to Assess & Enhance Patient Access 

Katie, Laura, and Angela will take part in a workshop to understand how to assess the current state of your health center's capacity and availability, and identify actionable methods to unlock patient access. This session will explore how to use data and information to evaluate volumes and panel sizes against organizational expectations, new and returning patient slot availability, and unexpected organizational barriers to access. We will identify easy and complex process designs that will enhance the health center's ability to effectively manage provider templates. Finally, we will consider how the care team is designed to support patient access and considerations for new roles that can enhance patient care. Using live survey and Q&A tools, the audience will provide their perspectives on patient access and think through the path from assessment to solutions.

Objectives:

• Understand the data-driven methods that measure patient access from the patient and organizational perspective
• Define a process to review provider templates and explain how effective template management can improve capacity without changes in provider expectations or staffing
• Consider options for care team structure to build a modern care team that supports and complements existing providers
