As a seasoned operations and development executive with a reputation for disruption and change leadership, Dakon has spent his career guiding healthcare organizations through transformational periods. Dakon has a passion for solving complex problems, which he calls upon to help hospitals and health systems evaluate and optimize their positions to design and implement the most effective ambulatory surgery strategies. As a steward of the healthcare industry, he measures success beyond dollars to include the maximization of client value across the continuum of care to patients, payers, and providers.
Dakon has over 20 years of experience leading large portfolios of joint-ventured ambulatory assets for industry leaders, including HCA and USPI/Tenet, with an acute focus on ASCs. Before joining ECG, Dakon served as an operations executive, where his work focused on establishing differentiated, collaborative relationships with health system leaders to guide market strategies related to service line development, site-of-service shifts, and enhanced physician alignment. Using relationship-centered and data-driven approaches to change management, Dakon restructured, optimized, and grew countless facilities and partnerships with measurable success. Most notably, Dakon led turnaround efforts for a failing asset portfolio, which included completely renegotiating company agreements, recapitalizing equity, restructuring service lines, and consolidating management services.
